Ms. Mirriam Mwongela is a dynamic communications professional with a strong track record in developing and implementing comprehensive strategies that advance organizational visibility, engagement, and impact. As a seasoned Strategic Communications and Public Relations expert, Ms. Mwongela demonstrates proven leadership in media relations, internal and external communications, event coordination, and community engagement programming. Her expertise extends to multimedia production, including videography, photography, and professional editing, enabling her to produce compelling visual content that enhances storytelling, amplifies advocacy messages, and strengthens brand identity across diverse platforms.
Ms. Mwongela is an active member of the Association of Women in Media in Kenya (AMWIK), where she collaborates with a network of over 300 women media professionals nationwide. Through this platform, she actively contributes to advancing gender-responsive media practices, elevating women’s voices, and promoting social justice and gender equality through strategic media advocacy and public discourse.
In her current role as Communications Officer at EACHRights, Ms. Mwongela oversees and manages the organization’s digital presence by designing and executing innovative social media and communication strategies. She leads the development of campaigns and digital projects across multiple online platforms, produces engaging and audience-centered content, monitors and analyzes communication performance metrics, and supports stakeholder engagement through responsive online communication. Her work plays a critical role in strengthening the organization’s public profile, enhancing audience reach, and supporting programmatic objectives through effective communication.
